Jesus – Beloved One

Glory to God in the Highest

[Luke 20: ] “Those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead … can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.”
The Abraham Promise
I am your shield, your very great reward [Genesis 15]

6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. 8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” 9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. [Galatians 3:6-9]

23 Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. [Galatians 3:23-29]

6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. [Galatians 4:6-7]

3 Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, 4 “As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. 5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. 7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you…” [Genesis 17:3-7]

The Abraham promise declares those who are in covenant through the basis of faith are God’s people. This continuity or lineage moved from God’s words with Abraham to the covenant in Jesus Christ, both being tied together in recognition the Christ Messiah was to come (e.g. Moses held the bronze serpent for people to look at and be healed) and the Old Testament prophets. All men outside this “tent” or covering had other gods based on other determinations and persuasions, with hostility between God’s purposes and people, or their own.

We say that Christ is God’s Son, the form of God in one born a man through the virgin Mary by the Holy Ghost, that Jesus was the sacrificial offering to cover the guilt and power of sin and death, that He arose from death, the only one to ever do so, that he will return again to mankind and a final judgement of all men for sin, putting away sin forever, and providing those in salvation with eternal life and new resurrected bodies like Christ.  If one positions against such hope and promise, the heart and mind will surely consider such things  even as mad.  Any discounting of these fundamentals is not Christianity or the Gospel message, and many state other diverse words in the cloak of Christianity instead of its truth and power. The Gospel has an ongoing work of God’s relationship and involvement with mankind not only in nations but with personal relationship to individuals through the presence of the Holy Spirit, (being born of spirit). Intellectual theories are a replacement for relationship with God, the same God who walked with Adam, who now wishes to restore and reclaim those who want to listen and receive His message of the Gospel and the reality of the Kingdom of God.

The new covenant encompasses Christ’s divinity and sacrifice on the Cross for completely enabling man’s salvation work with God. In Christ we are transferred from a dominion of darkness to the Kingdom of God and our part in the inclusiveness of Heaven. Whilst living here now, we have a spiritual life that is not theoretical, but alive and entwined with the Kingdom of Heaven now – such as being under salvation from sin and death and what those elements mean in their finality, pain and loss. We say that when man refuses God’s loving and best way for man’s salvation and development, and for wondrous things to come, he has no other choice but to use replacements of diverse kinds no matter how carefully constructed and presented. We also state there is an increase in delusion and falsehoods over mankind as time goes on until Christ returns. These statements are considered hostile  by those who reject them and are targeted increasingly as being unlawful in the eyes of man. This is a battle between two camps – the Abraham promise and any other form of ownership, as no one really comes under their own sovereignty.

Why is this – we do not control God’s Word and plans for humanity.  God does not lie or go against Himself. When we have revelation of some aspect of God’s work, we respond. These responses have continued in a real way for thousands of years. Our present time or age is clearly showing two “functions” from God’s work with man, namely the Church, those who through faith believe in Jesus Christ, who wish to receive and hear the Word into their hearts, and the historic nation/state/kingdom of Israel  owned by God since Abraham irrespective of turbulent history.

It is unfortunate that the Church has watered down the fundamentals of Christianity, but even the Apostle Paul was clearly aware of this in his letter to the Philippians in the New Testament bible. Paul was aware of both the power of God, in miracles such as healing and mercy, and at the same time of sickness and death. There was no post modern illusion about realities of a western Christian life, and for all of us, it does place great burden on us at times, but not defeating our hope and identity in Christ.

There are those who face trails placing everything they believe in to the test, yet Christ comes through in Spiritual power against all else. Throughout this website, we encourage awareness of our condition as a means for opening insight into our selves and our spiritual life, into Jesus Christ himself who intercedes to God the Father for us in Heaven. Any approach to the Gospel will either yield spiritual fruit from the Holy Spirit, or unverified constructs in the mind that people say is spiritual.  Those who deny God’s power, struggle with the unsolvable, as truth does not go away. For example, we hear secular formulations about God as myth, or people in the Church formulating ideas that grate at their conscience who divide the Church, instead of working out their own salvation in accordance with Paul’s instructions.  We were meant to be spiritually based beings, so it is no wonder man strives for this fulfillment. God has spoken that it is through faith in His Son we find the true spiritual life and that the way to this is a narrow path compared to the wide path the world says it offers, ways which appeal to one form of illusion, corruption or another. It is no wonder when faced with Christ’s truth, men nailed him to a Cross and persecuted anyone else in line with Him.

Amen

The Gospel
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. [John 1:5]

11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [1 John 5:11]

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. [John 1 1:5]

11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — 3 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. [John 1:11-14]

Man was created for God. If a weapon is used to enforce the relationship between man and God, it is a reversal of this truth, as truth comes from God, not man.  Weaponising takes on many forms and characteristics, both verbal and physical, claiming superiority and purity. Extremes have been found throughout history as men want others not only to be the same as themselves, but above God as representatives of God. Harm to others then takes on an allowable positioning. One such approach has been interpretations of nature that become logistical proofs of how we are meant to be before God. In part, from suppositions about the Garden of Eden which man actually has no fuller knowledge of for that prior age. And hence we have corrupt claims and actions, such as women being born women because God foreknew they would not be good enough to be men (Thomas Aquinas – who by the way also did a lot of good things, which shows how delusion co-exists) and the categorising of sins from low level to critical, each demanding its own taxation payment to the Church, which still occurs under another guise today. By contrast, Jesus Christ had one position towards sin and how our involvement with him therefore must be.  If we wish rather to know God, we may sincerely ask, and He will do it.

Nature speaks of the creation work, but it cannot “circumcise” God into a person’s heart. The first letter of the Apostle John reminds the Church of the need to know God’s love oneself in order to love others. If that is darkly absent, there is cruelty. I assure you, there is cruelty in Australia because we discern it by Him who lives within us, just as Paul was advising the Philippians. The Gospel message is presented peacefully because faith cometh by hearing and receiving the Word of God as in the seed and good soil, where the Holy Spirit turns on the light in our heart with life, where we then learn more of the mystery of faith for faith in the present and our genuine hope in the future as opposed to a wish.

Each year the western Church as a whole hears the same messages. There is one Holy Spirit. Those under persecution strengthen their metal and praise for God. But in the west, we will not be and are not always immune from strong troubles. In 2023 to 2024, the message has often been about coming out of the sins of the world, removing the spots on our garments, about the saints continuing to get their lives in order, to be closer to Christ in all (not part), to face new trials, be more aware of Heaven as our home and rights, and the power of Christ’s resurrection and reality. And of course other matters such as the realness of prayer. Many sense the desire for God to be among us in stronger presence, even more before the world’s tribulations come to a head, in greater power than known before, as is in accordance with the scripture and basic soundness of mind despite others saying otherwise. There will always be those. Jesus is preparing people who listen because of what is coming ahead. Many will refuse to listen even sadly and painfully in the Church. The more something becomes crucial, the more the contrast between those following the Lord and those on the side lines. Why would the Lord deal with the times ahead in weakness, without power? It seems there will be those with oil in their lamps, and those who spend the time amiss. This is a new time for mankind. We are called to stay close to our Saviour to know His voice. There is a constant stream of many other voices but His people will know what is true and reliable.

The Revelation
The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. [Revelation 1:1]

6 The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place. 7 Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.” [Revelation:22:6]

11 “Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy. 12 Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. 14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.” [Revelation:22:11-14]

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star. 17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.” [Revelation:22:16-17]

God speaks to his people by prophecy and His intervention. We need God to give His Word to us. How else will we know? With the scriptures, it is the Spirit of revelation and prophecy that we believe and trust, which gives God’s living Word to us. A primary function of the Holy Spirit is to witness to us all that belongs and is of Jesus. If something else is being spoken it is not of His Spirit. Many like what is not of his Spirit.

God tells us that in Jesus we shall have life, indeed. God tells us that we need to know He loves us. God speaks first, we listen, we believe and have life. As we trust, His anointing surrounds us and our families in everything throughout not only our trials, but our times of peace. We have issues with definitions of peace, but we are encouraged that in Jesus there is and will be rest and peace – in Him, not something else. We can exercise our faith in this. In this present time, many hang onto the foundations they built, some right, some wrong. Letting go can be painful with tears, but if bound to things of man, it may be nigh impossible to let those things loose. It happens everywhere. This heightens the tensions we are seeing. Can a seed fall to the ground and die, or will man’s will refuse even before God Himself?

The extent of power and harm in the world is exceedingly more than we know now. Far more is going on than we know at a local level now. This will change of course. Our Father in Heaven to our good gives the ability to be in the blessing of dependence on Him. This life by God’s Spirit was well known by the early church congregations. It was a hallmark of the New Covenant, and knowing Jesus actually was coming. There are those in key positions today who deny Christ’s return as it is a pivotal point of truth that will be opposed. The removal of the Old Covenant was co-existent with the purposed and even eternal work of the Holy Spirit, like a two edged sword. One edge pointed to the Jewish people (God’s historic chosen race) and the other edge to the Gentiles (the rest of the world – heathens) so that neither would have justification for enmity against the other. The Jewish demands for the law and its decrees were nullified by Christ’s body and blood according to God’s plan, meaning the Gentiles could no longer be viewed as barbaric, and the Gentile demands for lawlessness could no longer stand before God as His Spirit enabled the work of sanctification through that same sacrifice – that both divisions of the human race shared.  This is therefore a complete and total salvation. We never find anywhere a gap in God’s work. We believe this new life is strengthened for us today as we return to the Lord’s true purposes for all. Those who are called will be called. The past of our own mistakes and enmity is over. May we respond with praise and proper outlook. We have confidence because His righteousness is within us. If that were not so, we would see no position for overcoming sin.

Without reserve, God unfolds and opens the Heavens in His timing so we may see and know Him, so our garments may be prepared for the Lord’s return of the greatest celebration since our Lord Jesus Christ poured out God’s Holy Spirit from the Throne of Heaven at Pentecost. We are and shall be His witnesses to all before us. We shall run the great race. Since the foundation of the world, God’s promises have been steadfast, faithful, just and true, and in them there is no sorrow. As people confuse our minds with false statements, we intrinsically know this is aggravation against the Spirit within us, an experience of confusion in our souls rather than relief and clarity. For those faithful, Christ teaches us a consistency in knowing His voice that is not at odds with changes from various whims, or as one set of rules for one’s person, and a different set of rules allowing corruption for others such as those in governance. All must and will eventually come under Christ’s rule without exceptions, so why foster falsehoods now?

The Nations
For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back.[Isaiah 42:14]

1“Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen one in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will bring justice to the nations.
2 He will not shout or cry out,
or raise his voice in the streets.
3 A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
4 he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth.
[Isaiah:42:1-4]

13 When I act, who can reverse it? [Isaiah:43:13]

6 I am the first and I am the last;
apart from me there is no God.
24 I am the Lord,
the Maker of all things,
who stretches out the heavens,
who spreads out the earth by myself,
[Isaiah:44:6, 24]

1 This is what the Lord says:

“Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?
2 Has not my hand made all these things,
and so they came into being?”
declares the Lord.
“These are the ones I look on with favor:
those who are humble and contrite in spirit,
[Isaiah:66:]

We pause in reverence. This faithfulness is sure, paid with the price of Christ’s body and His sacrifice. The gap between God’s faith and man’s failing works a gulf so far that we can do nothing but be humble. Without Christ’s faithfulness how would we ever know by our own strength of such power to hold us forever, and to rule the nations with justice. There is a finality when God finally shows mankind, the earth is God’s, and the powers that destroy it will be no more. A time when man knows he is man and not God, yet has become co-existent with God. It is a finality that is non-negotiable. God’s righteousness will cover the earth. This is Kingship and sovereignty. The Creation itself shall change to what it was meant to be, and that cannot happen while the power of sin remains without its final judgement.

“Let the heavens, the earth, the waters with all their creatures and all those here present witness that I, Captain Pedro Fernandez de Quiros … in the name of Jesus Christ … hoist this emblem of the Holy Cross on which His (Jesus Christ’s) person was crucified and whereon He gave His life for the ransom and remedy of all the human race…on this Day of Pentecost, 14 May 1606 … I, take possession of all this part of the South as far as the pole in the name of Jesus…Which from now on shall be called the Southern land of the Holy Ghost…and this always and forever…and to the end that to all natives, in all the said lands, the holy and sacred evangel may be preached zealously and openly.”
From Pedro Fernandez de Quiros’ declaration, made on Espiritu Santo on 14th May, 1606.
Smith Wigglesworth said, “Australia you have been chosen by God for a great move of the Holy Spirit. This move of God will be the greatest move of God ever known in mankind’s history and will start towards the end of the 20th century and move into the 21st century. This move of God will start a great revival in Australia, spread throughout the whole world and usher in the second coming of Jesus. This will be the final revival before the coming of the Lord. God will rise up a man in Australia who will lead this move of God under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This man will bow down to no one other than God. He will have tremendous favour in the nation of Australia.”
c. 1924 Smith Wigglesworth prophesying on an Australia visit.

Repent (turn) for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. [Matthew 3:2]

The heavens were opened and he (John) saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him; and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” [Mathew 3:16-17]

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born anew.'” [John 3:5-7]

No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from heaven, the Son of man… the Son of man must be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [John 3:13-19]

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature. [2 Peter 1:3-4]

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and to an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold which though perishable is tested by fire, may redound to praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. The prayer of salvation

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up;
then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.”
[Matthew 13:44]

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” and “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” [Acts 2.21; Romans 10:9].

You said my salvation would be the result of Your Holy Spirit giving me new birth by coming to live in me [John 3:5-6, 15-16; Romans 8:9-11] and that if I would ask, You would fill me with Your Spirit [Luke 11:13].

I take You at Your Word. I confess that Jesus is Lord. And I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. Thank You for coming into my heart, for giving me Your Holy Spirit as You have promised, and for being Lord over my life. Amen.
