Jesus – Beloved One

The Gospel is the Good News of Restoring us to God’s Family and the Kingdom of God,
Accomplished through the Redemption of the Cross of Jesus Christ,
to all who Believe and have Faith in His Name.

Glory to God in the Highest

[Luke 20: ] “Those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead … can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.”
The Abraham Promise
I am your shield, your very great reward [Genesis 15]

6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. 8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” 9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. [Galatians 3:6-9]

23 Before the coming of this faith, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed. 24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. [Galatians 3:23-29]

6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. [Galatians 4:6-7]

3 Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, 4 “As for me, this is my covenant with you: You will be the father of many nations. 5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. 7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you…” [Genesis 17:3-7]

The Abraham promise assures that those in covenant with God through faith are justified as God’s people – meaning that the condition without covenant is also a reality.

This covenant was not so much as completely abandoned, but fulfilled, as was intended through Jesus Christ into the new covenant with mankind.

The New Testament gospel writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were not simple authors. There were scholars and writers in that time who were known for their level of high aptitude – e.g. speaking several languages, memory capability, rabbinic teaching and discipline etc. If we met them today, we may be truly astounded by their presence and engagement with us.

These highly aware and upright men knew full well the importance and reality of Christ’s death and resurrection, its unparalleled, undeniable power, which would culminate in His return and our gathering to Him in that glory and power. They saw this and had to convey it. The words they wrote were purposeful and definite, saying this will be fulfilled. If we met these writers today, we may realise this is all very real.

It is incumbent on us to listen to the Gospel and enquire about God’s sacrifice of His Son, a real event, to reclaim us back to His family.

This is too import to veil as a religious narrative, intellectual or mythological discussion. The instruction is clear – one must be born again of the Holy Spirit, as equally important as it is for each of us to have originally been born of the womb (water).

People consistently talk about Christ in various ways while not having read the New Testament Bible. Our strongest message to the public is, please read it and think about it.

A question we have is if our own sovereignty can align with God’s in a way that enables us to remain who we are, and yet go further.

For those who are Christian, under God’s grace, consider the obedience of Christ to God’s command to go by way of the Cross – the sacrificial lamb. Would this have happened if Abraham were not willing to do the same with his own Son, Isaac? The agreements of Abraham ratifies the union and work of God with mankind.  If Abraham said no, what basis would there be for God to do his work on behalf of humanity? The Cross is a finished work for humanity ready for our co-joined participation in salvation from death.

Amen

The Gospel
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. [John 1:5]

11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [1 John 5:11]

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. [John 1 1:5]

11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God — 3 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. [John 1:11-14]

Man was created for Life in God. If men actively believe they hold and create life by themselves, God has to be ignored because He does not go away. Or, men may say they are higher than God. To ignore God in this way at a national level leads to normalising the absence of God and His principles, which cannot work well. Again, God does not stop being who He is and how He designed the principles of all. At a religious or social level, other results such as erroneous teachings about nature, position of women,  and so on.

If we wish rather to know God, we may sincerely ask Christ, and He will do it.

The first letter of the Apostle John reminds the Church of the need to know God’s love oneself in order to love others. The Gospel message is presented peacefully because faith comes by hearing and receiving the Word of God. This being truthful means it must be suppressed to prevent people living otherwise.

The Revelation
The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. [Revelation 1:1]

6 The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place. 7 Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.” [Revelation:22:6]

11 “Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy. 12 Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. 14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.” [Revelation:22:11-14]

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star. 17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.” [Revelation:22:16-17]

We are given a commandment by God to know Jesus Christ, but it is presented as an invitation to a wedding banquet. We want to wear our best clothes. We want to hear the right words at the dining table. A spiritual principle is that God speaks first, we listen, we believe and have life. This life is in His Son. A primary function of the Holy Spirit is to witness to us what is of Jesus. Therefore, something else in our discernment is identified as contrary. God’s promises are consistent.

The Nations
For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back.[Isaiah 42:14]

1“Here is my servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen one in whom I delight;
I will put my Spirit on him,
and he will bring justice to the nations.
2 He will not shout or cry out,
or raise his voice in the streets.
3 A bruised reed he will not break,
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;
4 he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice on earth.
[Isaiah:42:1-4]

13 When I act, who can reverse it? [Isaiah:43:13]

6 I am the first and I am the last;
apart from me there is no God.
24 I am the Lord,
the Maker of all things,
who stretches out the heavens,
who spreads out the earth by myself,
[Isaiah:44:6, 24]

1 This is what the Lord says:

“Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
Where is the house you will build for me?
Where will my resting place be?
2 Has not my hand made all these things,
and so they came into being?”
declares the Lord.
“These are the ones I look on with favor:
those who are humble and contrite in spirit,
[Isaiah:66:]

God’s faithfulness is sure, paid with the price of Christ’s body and His sacrifice gaining power over sin and death. The gap between God’s faith and man’s works are a gulf so far, that we can only be humble. There is a finality when God finally shows mankind, the earth is God’s and with Him we may enjoy it.

“Let the heavens, the earth, the waters with all their creatures and all those here present witness that I, Captain Pedro Fernandez de Quiros … in the name of Jesus Christ … hoist this emblem of the Holy Cross on which His (Jesus Christ’s) person was crucified and whereon He gave His life for the ransom and remedy of all the human race…on this Day of Pentecost, 14 May 1606 … I, take possession of all this part of the South as far as the pole in the name of Jesus…Which from now on shall be called the Southern land of the Holy Ghost…and this always and forever…and to the end that to all natives, in all the said lands, the holy and sacred evangel may be preached zealously and openly.”
From Pedro Fernandez de Quiros’ declaration, made on Espiritu Santo on 14th May, 1606.
Smith Wigglesworth said, “Australia you have been chosen by God for a great move of the Holy Spirit. This move of God will be the greatest move of God ever known in mankind’s history and will start towards the end of the 20th century and move into the 21st century. This move of God will start a great revival in Australia, spread throughout the whole world and usher in the second coming of Jesus. This will be the final revival before the coming of the Lord. God will rise up a man in Australia who will lead this move of God under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. This man will bow down to no one other than God. He will have tremendous favour in the nation of Australia.”
c. 1924 Smith Wigglesworth prophesying on an Australia visit.

Repent (turn) for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. [Matthew 3:2]

The heavens were opened and he (John) saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and alighting on him; and lo, a voice from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” [Mathew 3:16-17]

This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. [1 John 1:5-10]

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born anew.'” [John 3:5-7]

No one has ascended into heaven but he who descended from heaven, the Son of man… the Son of man must be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [John 3:13-19]

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, that through these you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of passion, and become partakers of the divine nature. [2 Peter 1:3-4]

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! By his great mercy we have been born anew to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and to an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold which though perishable is tested by fire, may redound to praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. The prayer of salvation

“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up;
then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.”
[Matthew 13:44]

Heavenly Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus. Your Word says, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” and “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” [Acts 2.21; Romans 10:9].

You said my salvation would be the result of Your Holy Spirit giving me new birth by coming to live in me [John 3:5-6, 15-16; Romans 8:9-11] and that if I would ask, You would fill me with Your Spirit [Luke 11:13].

I take You at Your Word. I confess that Jesus is Lord. And I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. Thank You for coming into my heart, for giving me Your Holy Spirit as You have promised, and for being Lord over my life. Amen.
